Well my "baby" girl turned 13 today!!! I just can't believe it! She is having a party after she gets back from church camp so today we told her she could do anything she wanted. Her picks- lunch at chickfila, iced sugar cookies from our favorite bakery, new running stuff from Icks (yes I left the "D" off the front of that I just can't stand the name of that store & don't want it on my blog! Lol) and then went to the library to check out a few books. Such the wild teenager;)
Kinley is so AMAZING. I know we all think our kids are great but she just is! When I hear my friends talk about their kids lying to them, telling them they can't stand them, etc.. I just can't imagine?! Kinley just makes being a mom too easy. I take no credit for how she has turned out she is just a blessing! I was given this precious girl when I feel like I was the least deserving of such a gift so I try every day to be worthy of being her momma.
The past 13 years have been great and I can't wait to see what the next year holds- great things I have no doubt!

Oh Beth...
I love Beth Moore!!!
I'm on week 5 of my Beth Moore study "So long insecurity". When a friend asked me to join this group study my first reaction was yes because I want to teach Kinley how to deal with all the teenage insecurities that are coming up. But little did I know this study has me written all over it!
I never considered myself an insecure person. I am very strong, independent, tell like it is, firm in what I believe take or leave it kind of girl! But the more I read in this book I can see where some of my insecurities in earlier life have made me the way I am today. Some good some I'm working on;)
I love how Beth tells of her own trials and struggles and painful things she has been thru in life. It's so nice to have such a great role model that didn't live this "fairy tale" life. That's one thing that I have always felt insecure about until reading this book. I highly recommend this book to all women and if you have the opportunity to do the group study you definitely should!!! It's so nice to hear others struggle with the same things as you.

Tulsa fun!
Brandon is not a spur of the moment kind of guy! So when he came home from the gym and said pack some stuff and let's go to Tulsa I was shocked! So of course I threw some stuff in a bag and away we went:) it was so nice and relaxing. We ate, shopped and then went to an aquarium. Hudson learned a few new words this trip.
Sorse: seahorse
Jellies: jellyfish
Skarks: sharks
Singreys: stingrays
Hudson really loved the aquarium. He reached right in and touched a stingray which kinda freaked me out! Then he tried to pick up a starfish but luckily the starfish was stronger than him:)

Only at Walmart!?
Shy, quiet, reserved, mommas boy, and gasp...spoiled!!! Are all things my baby boy has been called! The spoiled part he is my baby and I plan to "spoil" him til the day I die! I am his momma!:)
Hudson can talk very well. He can say lots of sentences. And knows when to say please, thank you and amen! BUT if he is not comfortable around you you will hear none of those things! He's just plain shy! He must get that from his daddy because momma could talk to a tree stump;)
But as we were at walmart last week he was not shy one bit! He said hi to every person we passed. Asked an older lady to hold him! Saw a girl eating a cookie and asked for a bite please?! (which she offered him a bite!! And if you know me at all you know I hate germs! So that totally sicked me out!) I mean he literally talked to everyone he saw! It shocked me because he is usually so quiet around some family let alone strangers! Guess walmart brings out a little spunk in my shy boy;)
I must admit there are times where I wish he weren't so shy but that shy sweet smile he flashes melts me every time! But don't get me wrong he's not shy and quiet all the time, if he knows you well enough he gets hyper and wild real fast!!!

Tennis time.
Miss Kinley had tennis camp this week and she had a blast! She cannot wait to start private lessons. I'm excited because this is something she and I can do together. It was a long week for me though chasing Hudson all over those courts and dodging flying tennis balls at the same time! Some kids yelled "go Kinley" when she was playing a match and Hudson promptly told them "dats my sissy!!!" as he pounded his chest like a big man! Ha

Sweet summertime
Can I just say how much I love summertime?!!? This week has been just the picture perfect summer week. Playdates, playing in the sprinkler, swimming, making pizza with our Mops group, and of course a few trips to the sugar shack! You know you may go to a sno cone stand to often if your one year old can walk to the window and ask for Razorback ice!:)
