Sissy's home!

Kinley is finally home from church camp! Thank goodness because we missed her!:) She learned so much and had such a great time. The day we picked her up she was just on fire telling us everything she had learned!

Pretty sure Hudson hasn't left her side since she got home!

Bye bye Sissy...

It's gonna be a long week here without Miss Kinley! She left today for church camp:) I know she will have a blast! She has been looking forward to it all summer. But I know a certain little boy who woke up from nap crying for his sissy!!!

21 months

All the Hudson stats are pretty much the same from last month but he talks SO much more!!! But there are a few funny/sweet things I want to remember:

One night as we were saying bedtime prayers Hudson throws his hand in the air and says "Praise him for choo choo's!"

If he wants something and I say no he will pound his chest and say "bubba nice!" like he thinks he should get it since he's being good:)

We probably read 10 books a day! He is just obsessed with his books!

His personality is really starting to come to life and he's losing that shy little shell he had! Somedays he is just plain LOUD and WILD!!

Love my boys!

Hudson is def a mommas boy but he's a daddy's boy to! He wants me to snuggle, to feed him, to rock him, when he doesn't feel good, you know the usual. His daddy is like a rockstar to him! When B gets home from work it's all about "my dada!" I just love that! I never had a Dad in my life so I am SO THANKFUL for what an awesome father Brandon is to Kinley and Hudson! Tonight as B mowed the lawn Hudson ran to every window so he could watch him. So sweet!:)

A teenager....really?!

Well my "baby" girl turned 13 today!!! I just can't believe it! She is having a party after she gets back from church camp so today we told her she could do anything she wanted. Her picks- lunch at chickfila, iced sugar cookies from our favorite bakery, new running stuff from Icks (yes I left the "D" off the front of that I just can't stand the name of that store & don't want it on my blog! Lol) and then went to the library to check out a few books. Such the wild teenager;)

Kinley is so AMAZING. I know we all think our kids are great but she just is! When I hear my friends talk about their kids lying to them, telling them they can't stand them, etc.. I just can't imagine?! Kinley just makes being a mom too easy. I take no credit for how she has turned out she is just a blessing! I was given this precious girl when I feel like I was the least deserving of such a gift so I try every day to be worthy of being her momma.

The past 13 years have been great and I can't wait to see what the next year holds- great things I have no doubt!

Oh Beth...

I love Beth Moore!!!

I'm on week 5 of my Beth Moore study "So long insecurity". When a friend asked me to join this group study my first reaction was yes because I want to teach Kinley how to deal with all the teenage insecurities that are coming up. But little did I know this study has me written all over it!

I never considered myself an insecure person. I am very strong, independent, tell like it is, firm in what I believe take or leave it kind of girl! But the more I read in this book I can see where some of my insecurities in earlier life have made me the way I am today. Some good some I'm working on;)

I love how Beth tells of her own trials and struggles and painful things she has been thru in life. It's so nice to have such a great role model that didn't live this "fairy tale" life. That's one thing that I have always felt insecure about until reading this book. I highly recommend this book to all women and if you have the opportunity to do the group study you definitely should!!! It's so nice to hear others struggle with the same things as you.

Tulsa fun!

Brandon is not a spur of the moment kind of guy! So when he came home from the gym and said pack some stuff and let's go to Tulsa I was shocked! So of course I threw some stuff in a bag and away we went:) it was so nice and relaxing. We ate, shopped and then went to an aquarium. Hudson learned a few new words this trip.

Sorse: seahorse
Jellies: jellyfish
Skarks: sharks
Singreys: stingrays

Hudson really loved the aquarium. He reached right in and touched a stingray which kinda freaked me out! Then he tried to pick up a starfish but luckily the starfish was stronger than him:)
